Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Nightlight, operated by Mahtani Pte Ltd ("Nightlight", "we", "us"). By joining the waitlist or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. What Nightlight does

Nightlight links to a child's WhatsApp or Telegram account and alerts a parent when the service detects a genuine safety risk. Nightlight is not a parental control suite and does not replace one.

2. The child knows

Nightlight is not covert. Setup requires access to the child's phone once, and the linked device or connected service is visible in their WhatsApp or Telegram settings. The child can remove the link at any time. You must not use Nightlight in a way that conceals its presence from the child.

3. No browsing of conversations

Nightlight does not provide a transcript, inbox, search, or any way to browse a child's messages. The only message content a parent may see is the evidence attached to a critical alert, capped at five messages.

4. Eligibility

Nightlight is intended for parents or legal guardians of children aged 13 to 16. By using the service you represent that you have the legal authority to monitor the child's WhatsApp or Telegram account in your jurisdiction.

5. Waitlist

Joining the waitlist does not create an account or obligation. We will use your email address only to notify you about Nightlight.

6. Limitation of liability

Nightlight is provided "as is". No monitoring service can detect every risk. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
